Create More Avatars (and Some More Clothes).
The concept of the avatar has been around for a while now; you adopt a digital personality to interact with others in an online community. Over time, CMUNE has changed this system to the current one we see in v4.3.3c. The current Lutz (default avatar) is highly disliked by many players, and their only option is to buy clothing; however, these players have other things in mind too, like weapons and the like.
In the past, players who have played UberStrike (circa v4.3.2 and prior) remember that the default avatar was nice-looking; colorful and cool with that "tattoo" on the left forearm. With the release of v4.3.3, it "went away"; almost ALL the clothing one purchased covered up that cool-looking tattoo, and the default Lutz became a soldier-like character, looking very bad due to the primarily silver outfit with the baseball cap, and the five o'clock shadow ruined it even more. It looks bad on the character, and the only way to solve this problem is by buying clothing with armor. The UberJacket, currently the ONLY non-armor piece of clothing available in the Shop (as of v4.3.3c on 2/13/12), is decent-looking, but disappointing.
I remember the days when I wasn't worried about the Shop, because I liked my outfit. I'm also not the kind of guy who is "happy with everything"; and that, in a nutshell, describes the entire UberStrike community. People want to be creative; people like the colors they had, so they didn't have to worry. In 4.3.2, I liked the fact that I had a red and black outfit; it allowed me to be creative, and not worry about clothing.
The contemporary feel of UberStrike may be nice-looking, but CMUNE went so far that it looked like they drew a "wild-card"; it worked primarily to advantage, but some things didn't work out, like the Lutz of v4.3.3. Some things just need to stay, like the default avatar from versions before (again, circa v4.3.2 and prior).
I also support DEFAULT female avatars and the return of Chibi, so please vote if you want these, too.
Women, in particular, want something to represent them. In closing, they need a fair chance, too; they should not have to pay to express themselves. And following the theme that I'm creating with "creativity at default", so that means that they should have a chance, too.
